I was brought into fatjoe to revitalising their platform, their main pain point was a clear separation between their website and client facing application.

My solution was to bring the two platforms together using Next.js as a frontend framework and Laravel as an API which served multiple projects at once, to do so some of my responsibilities where:

Lead the development team in revitalising the fatjoe platform using modern technology. Making the platform more engaging, in turn boosting revenue and reducing cost.

Put forward key ideas to enhance user experience through team meetings and concept designs.

Help and support the development team to find solutions towards technical problems.

Work closely with key members of the business to implement core principles and help build an efficient structure for the wider team.

Ask Optimo was a fun side project at fatjoe. We built the ai tool when AI was 'trending'. As an SEO marketing agency we jumped at the opportunity to get involved.

Ask Optimo provides pre-configured AI tools that takes in a users input and returns useful data for the user depending on which tool they have chosen.

I had a lot of fun working at for your little one, it's a small family run business that sells goods online.

I had to develop my skills quickly as the only 'technical' personal there. I was in charge in developing and maintaining their website which was originally built on Magento.

I put forward that we should migrate the site to Shopify which would provide a much nicer experience for the user and boost productivity internally as it's a much easier system to use.

The migration was no easy feat, but gave me a great understanding and new found respect for just how powerful coding can be.

Lightbox is where I started my developer career 10 years ago! I loved working with the team at the time and had the pleasure of working with some fantastic companies in the heart of Birmingham, UK.

I've made lifelong friends during my time here, and it really helped me develop my technical skills quickly by having fantastic developers around me.

Also throwing me into the deep end with client meetings, managing project timelines and taking responsibility for projects gave me a great sense of achievement ultimately giving the confident to leave the 'agency' lifestyle.
